ACE Staff
ACE employs approximately 60 expatriate and 50 Cambodian staff.
Most of the expatriate staff are native English-speaking teachers
qualified as teachers of English as a Second or Foreign Language.
Expatriate staff come from many countries, with a large majority
from Australia, the UK and North America.
All teachers have NEAS International approved
qualifications.
ACE employs Cambodians as both academic and administrative
staff. The Cambodian teachers of English are qualified with a
Bachelor of Education in English and all have participated in ACE's
team-teaching and professional development program. ACE also
maintains an active teacher exchange program with regional
schools and Australian universities. The staff from these
institutions help to ensure that ACE continues to operate at an
international level of expectations in the classroom.
ACE Resources
ACE places a strong emphasis on maintaining and developing its
range of resources. Features of this high level of resourcing
include:
- a well-stocked library for staff, with the best collection of
language materials in Cambodia and many subject-specific reference
books
- a Guided Individual Learning (GIL) Centre, designed to enable
learners to practise their language skills at their own pace
outside the classroom and stocked with CALL software
- two computer rooms, both with state-of-the art equipment and
networked with recent versions of appropriate software
- custom-designed classrooms, all air-conditioned and of
appropriate size for the limited number of students in each
class
- a large Book Club where books are available for borrowing by
all registered students
