General English Program (GEP)
ACE’s General English Program is a part-time program designed
for students wishing to achieve an upper-intermediate level of
English. For students who start at the beginner level, the full
course of study lasts approximately four years ranging from
Literacy to Level 12.
Graduates of this immensely popular program are widely accepted
in Cambodia as having the minimum English language proficiency
required for employment in an English-speaking environment.
ACE teaches all four English language skills of Listening,
Speaking, Reading and Writing as well as Grammar, Vocabulary and
Pronunciation.
Teachers provide students with feedback on their work throughout
the term. At the end of each term students are tested and
given a written report on their progress in the four skills.
Assessment of Grammar is also included for students from Literacy
to Level 10.
GEP 12 Certificate
The General English Program Level 12 Certificate is awarded on
successful completion of this course and an overall band score of
5.0 on the International English Language Testing
System (IELTS) with no macro-skill (Listening, Speaking,
Reading and Writing) less than 4.0 on the Academic Module.
IELTS Preparation
To improve candidates' scores in IELTS tests, ACE offers a
45-hour IELTS preparation course and a very popular 15-hour
preparation course to familiarise candidates with the IELTS
test.
