ACE has a well-stocked Guided Individual Learning (GIL) Centre
where students can use a range of high quality up-to-date English
learning resources to practise their language skills at their own
pace outside the classroom. Books can be searched from any
computers within ACE.
The Centre’s resources include:
- CALL (computer-assisted language learning) software, CD-ROMs
and e-learning resources
- 20 flatscreen computers with internet access
- Newspaper cutting files
- A variety of media publications, both local and
international
- Self-access packs of macro skills and IELTS preparation
materials
- Cable television
- English language movies in DVD format
- English language skill development books and CDs
- Reference books: encyclopedias, dictionaries, guidebooks,
thesaurus, etc.
- Graded readers from popular series
Students can also borrow English language books by joining the
ACE Book Club.
