IDP Education (Cambodia) has experience and expertise in
conducting public events that are aligned with its core business.
This includes language-related conferences and development-related
workshops.
IDP also has initiated and continues to support both formal
associations and informal networks that are aligned with its core
business. This includes the formation and secretariat support for
the Australian Alumni Association of Cambodia (AAA-C) and the
establishment of CamTESOL, an informal network of leading providers
of English Language Training (ELT). IDP organises and financially
underwrites the annual CamTESOL conference, usually held in
February each year.

Associations
AAA-C
IDP initiated the Australian Alumni Association of Cambodia
(AAA-C) in 1998. This association brings together graduates of
Australian universities. IDP supports the committee of this
association by providing financial and organisational assistance
for functions. There are AAA-C functions roughly every two months.
Since 2002, this association has also been supported by the
Australian Government through annual AusAID funding for a
secretariat and reimbursement of one function per year. [read more]
CamTESOL
IDP initiated the CamTESOL conference series, with a preliminary
workshop in 2004. This conference series brings together teachers
of English and others interested in professional development in the
field of English Language Teaching (ELT). IDP convenes the
conference and financially underwrites it. There is broad ELT
community involvement in organising the conference, and delegate
registrations so far have averaged over 800. There is a Steering
Committee, an Organising Committee, a Program Committee and a
Program Support Group as well as a Host Institution Committee to
organise the conference. From 2007 there will also be an annual
CamTESOL publication. [read more]
