Preparation for IELTS

The "IELTS Information for Candidates" booklet is available free of charge from the IDP offices in Phnom Penh.

Two books of past test papers, called "Official Practice Materials", are available to purchase from the IDP IELTS test centre.

Official Practice Materials, Volume 1 includes a full Academic test and a full General Training test, and a CD of Listening test questions.

Official Practice Materials, Volume 2 includes a full Academic test and a full General Training test, and a DVD with video examples of an IELTS Speaking test.

Each book contains answer keys and model answers so that you can gain an approximate idea of your level of proficiency on an IELTS band scale.

IELTS Preparation Courses are also available for purchase from the IDP offices.

The Australian Centre for Education (ACE) conducts IELTS Preparation Courses on a regular and ongoing basis. The courses run for either 15 hours or 45 hours. IELTS Preparation Courses orientate candidates regarding the format of the test and help candidates develop strategies for undertaking the test. These courses are not designed to improve a candidate's English language skills.
